BEACH DAY TimeLINE

8:00am Count Down Cup Kicks Off, partner activations open along with coffee and morning snacks

10:15 am, Firefighters vs lifeguards square off on the beach

11:30 am Beach Bars Open and food vendors open

1:00pm Gromathon Contest kicks off on the beach

1:30 - 4:00pm Live music

4:15pm Award Show

4:30 - 6:30pm Sunset Music Session

COUNTDOWN CUP

Presented by

The Countdown Cup (Men's and Women's Divisions) will challenge surfers to showcase their diverse abilities on 4 different fin set-ups. 

Round 1 : Quad Fin

  • All surfers will ride a quad of their choosing

  • Surfers are only allowed to catch one wave

  • The top 16 scores will progress

Round 2 : Thruster

  • Surfers will ride a thruster of their choosing

  • Surfers are only allowed to catch one wave

  • The top 8 scores will progress. 

Semifinal : Twin Fin

  • Surfers will ride a twin fin of their choosing

  • Surfers are only allowed to catch two waves

  • The top 4 combined wave scores will progress

Final : Single Fin

  • The final 4 surfers will ride a single fin of their choosing

  • 30 minute heat with no wave limit

  • The top single wave score will be crowned winner

GROMATHON

The Gromathon is a fun and friendly contest that combines a beach run, a paddle, and a wave.

Rules:

  • This is a free contest for ages 13 and under.

  • The Gromathon will start at 1:30pm.

  • You must check in at the beach marshall by 12:00pm to compete.

  • BYO soft top.
